Dealing with social accounts are hacked

In today’s world of computers it is hard to avoid having your social accounts from being hacked if you look over the past few of years there is a growing tread of social accounts being hacked.  It does not matter which service you from Facebook, Twitter along with others all have fallen victim to hackers and it does not matter if you’re famous or not you’re still a target.

Of course if you are famous it might make news that your account has been hacked and you are explaining to your fans along with apologizing for the commentary or install the hacker has made on your account to all the skype-social-media-hackedfollowers.    This would include other accounts that are setup by businesses or people that do business.  If part of your business relies on social media and your account has been hacked it can cause a loss of income since these types of attacks can damage how the followers view the company or person along with getting other personal inform possible from those followers.

So how do you avoid or protect you social account to start with don’t ever login into your account from an emailed web link since this is the most common way most hackers get your information by sending you fake emails that most often referred to an issue with your account and they act read like they are from administrator and that social site.  The best way to deal with any issues or request that you receive for your social account is to go open your browser and type in that website and login to your account.

Another thing that you should do is make your password at least 8 charters long and complicated don’t use the names of you kids or dog or other information that can easily be found on your social sites since this is the kind of information that does get shared with others.   Also you should add unique characters like: $, # or others and of course a mix of numbers and small and capital letters.    These passwords should not be shared with other at all since this is your private account even if you children wish to play games or post something online; you can give them access by login but don’t give them passwords.

The last advice is to be careful about the programs you access and download from some sites since they are designed to obtain your information.  These types of programs often referred to as Malware or Spyware which is designed to obtain information from seeing your shopping habits to your personal information from your banking to other accounts which includes social media.   It is not always easy to see these kind of programs but investing in a good Malware and protection programs is always a good idea.

Even with this you have to always beware of message with attachments and programs you might get from others along with programs you are trying to download on top of watching your Social media accounts and other accounts since even the best protection does not keep you safe from these kind of hackers.

I hope you enjoy this article and helped you become more informed.

What does your profile online say about you?

We all like to believe that our online presents is in a positive way but the fact of the matter is that sometimes it is completely the opposite.   So how does this happen it is a combination of sharing the wrong information on personnel sites such as Twitter and Facebook along with others.   In today’s modern digital world most of use these online programs to communicate what is happening in our life’s primarily with our family members and friends and others we know.

Although these are personal related items that we publish sometime we include too much information or the wrong types of subject that is published by many of us such as “how crazy we got at a party or how we skipped work to hang out or meet up with others” etc.   This sometime include videos which can be very revealing of how we treat others or make comments about how bad the job or friends are along with other people we know and sometime even show how badly we act.  Although mostly younger people currently do this but this it does not exempt older people as well which do similar things online.

Another point is how we write these comments online which sometime include misspelled words along with poor grammar which also does say something about the author.   Now I don’t claim to be an expert in either of these but I do know how to use a spell checker which for some reasons these people forget about prior to publishing there comments.

So how can all this information impact our personal life, simply when potential employers do a search online for people that apply to jobs or already work for that company.  This one of the things that many companies do now is to research the candidate for jobs that they might like to hire or interview along with check on existing employees.  By putting such information such as how much you can drink and how wild that party was that you got trashed at it reflects badly back to you as a person and causes other to form stereotypical ideas of the type of person you are even if it was maybe a one-time event or something you don’t do that often.   Other things that can lead to this is by putting how many new tattoos you have and were you put them which should stay more private even though many people accept tattoos there are some people that still don’t and they really don’t want to know about them on your butt or other private areas.

Of course by using these sites people can hack your accounts and destroy your profile and also use the information to try and steal your identity especially if you share or put too much personal information online.     So the moral of the story here is that sharing information can be good however you should do so keeping in mind that it is more than just your family and friends reading that information it can be used by potential employers and existing employers along with others that are not looking to be helpful but are looking for flaws in your character along with those that are looking to steal from you.  So use these sites but do so with using intelligence and some caution.
